mcp-email-server

mcp-email-server connects MCP clients to email accounts through IMAP and SMTP. It provides tools for reading, searching, organizing, composing, and sending email without tying the client to a specific email provider.

  • Getting Started — configure your first account and MCP client.
  • Configuration — configure accounts with TOML or environment variables.
  • MCP Tools — understand the tools exposed to MCP clients.
  • Transports — run the server over stdio, SSE, or Streamable HTTP.
  • Security — manage credentials, allowlists, TLS, and attachment access.
  • Guides — configure IMAP-only accounts, ProtonMail Bridge, drafts, and replies.
  • Troubleshooting — resolve common account, keyring, TLS, and transport problems.
